CLIENT PROFILE
The first Black-owned Sephora Clean Makeup brand- LYS Beauty, is dedicated to promoting inclusivity in the beauty industry and empowering all women through its diverse color ranges. The brand's mission is to provide high-quality, clean makeup products that are not only good for the skin but also celebrate and enhance the unique qualities of each individual.

THE CHALLENGE
The goal was to create a virtual try-on experience that could help customers make more confident purchasing decisions when selecting their LYS foundation shade. The brand wanted a solution that would live both on the website and across social platforms, supporting not only individual product exploration but also integrating smoothly with their existing shade-finding tool. The challenge was to make these tools work together, amplifying each other’s strengths.
OUR APPROACH
We designed a virtual try-on solution that brought the product to life through a 3D animated representation and swatch visualization, which supported accurate shade visibility, product finish, and brand identity in a dynamic, user-friendly experience. We also focused on seamless UI integration, embedding both the shade finder and virtual try-on features within the product page to create a cohesive, dual-path experience. This strategic pairing led to a measurable increase in conversions, up to 1.6× higher for the VTO users.
